Helen was awarded
her Bachelor of Music Degree with Honours from the University of Edinburgh
in 2003.
As a lyric mezzo-soprano, she has performed in opera and operetta roles including Phyllis in Iolanthe, Mad Margaret in Ruddigore, Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore, Aline in The Sourcerer, The Nightingale in Telling Wilde Tales, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the Witch in Hansel and Gretel.
Oratorio performances include Micah in Handel’s Samson, the soprano II soloist in Bach’s Magnificat, the alto soloist in Vivandi’s Gloria, and the alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem.
Helen has also performed with choirs such as the Edinburgh University Chamber Choir, The Choir of Marchmont St Giles, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain, and St Leonard’s Chamber Choir.
